These errata cover the directory's machine_at, the health@1 field machine_too_large, and the canary check on it. Every key is additive: an older object, daemon or seat-holder ignores it, and no sender host gains a dependency.

  • wire/v3 § seats (its first erratum): GET /w/directory answers heard and machine_at.
    • heard is served today and was never written down.
    • machine_at is when the object last took a new seq of each login host's machine fact. A resend of the held seq moves heard, not machine_at.
    • A fresh heard beside an old machine_at means the host's claims are frozen. That is what devstation-nyc-1 looked like on 2026-11-05: every record over the cap from 09:11Z, with the socket heard throughout.
  • wire/v9 § health: machine_too_large counts the machine records the daemon did not send, because a record would not fit the cap even with every shed step applied.
  • wire/v9 § rings: the check of the same name holds the ring when it is above 0. Absent or null passes.

Built by ccc-pages #275 (directory and canary), ccc-statusd #1216 (the count), and cc-continuity #309 (seat-holder reads machine_at). The 180 s threshold is the reader's and is named as an example, not as a contract value.

These errata cover the directory's `machine_at`, the health@1 field `machine_too_large`, and the canary check on it. Every key is additive: an older object, daemon or seat-holder ignores it, and no sender host gains a dependency. - **wire/v3 § seats** (its first erratum): `GET /w/directory` answers `heard` and `machine_at`. - `heard` is served today and was never written down. - `machine_at` is when the object last took a new seq of each login host's machine fact. - wire/v3 § seats: GET /w/directory answers heard (served, never written
down) and machine_at, when the object last took a new seq of each login
host's machine fact. A fresh heard beside an old machine_at is a host
whose claims are frozen (devstation-nyc-1, 2026-11-05).
- wire/v9 § health: machine_too_large, the machine records not sent because
one would not fit the cap with everything shed. § rings: the check of that
name holds the ring above 0; absent or null passes.
